Westmark Logistics Limited is recruiting for a Manager Logistics Operations. Candidate must possess a Bachelors Degree or Higher National Diploma (B.Sc/B.A/B.Eng/HND).

The successful candidate will have full day to day operational responsibility for the trucking division of our company.

Ensure profitability of current operations and also lead initiatives to expand the division. Compensation will be performance driven with an unlimited pay potential and career growth.

The Requirements:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of our company’s trucking division.
  • Responsible for planning and implementing daily truck dispatch and ensuring that delivery targets are met.
  • Planning and supervising Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all trucks and equipment
  • Must be a leader who is able to communicate very well with all levels of employees, customers and suppliers.
  • Previous knowledge and experience in freight Transportation and logistics will be a plus
  • Independent, self motivated, attentive to details and able to work under pressure
  • Strong organizational, administrative and service skills. Project Management knowledge a plus
  • Excellent PC skills; good knowledge of MS office package with proficiency in Excel
  • Able to prepare job quotes, cost sheets and job reports
  • Manage all employee matters, including union collection matters
  • Keep all fleet registration and documents up to date and meet legal reporting requirements
  • Prepare daily “flash” reports to Owner
  • Represent the company in community and media activities
  • Manage vendor relationships, accounts receivable and accounts payable operations
  • Manage all employee training activities and safety drills
  • Manage all recruiting activities for new employees as well terminations when necessary
  • Assist Owner’s Development Project team in coordinating on-site improvement projects or new business initiatives
  • Manage Inventory of Spare Parts, Materials and Supplies
  • Manage Owner banking relationships including wire transfers
  • Monitor legal matters of the company in cooperation with company’s legal counsel and retainers.
