Vacancies exist for an Administrator, Preschool Teacher and Receptionist.

Administrator

Candidates must hold minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and possess at least 5 additional years of experience in Childcare. Must be well presented and possess managerial capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Day to day administration of the orphanage.
  • Supervision of the caregivers and other workers to ensure quality of care is maintained.
  • Enforces the strict code of conduct of the orphanage.
  • Supervision of the different sections and departments.
  • Attending to partners and visitors
  • Organizing outings and staging events
  • Liaising with social workers and relevant authorities
  • Weekend work & long hours is usual and expected.

Requisite Skills

  • Innovative and able to “think out of the box”
  • Must be firm and able to exact discipline
  • Has genuine flair for children and social work
  • Must have good diplomatic and people management skills.

Preschool Teachers

Candidates must hold minimum of B.Ed or NCE and have minimum of two years teaching experience in a leading nursery or preschool. Experience in the Montessori teaching method, multi – national curricula and the use of modern teaching aids is an added advantage. Candidates must be warm, friendly and courteous and have a good command of English language and proper phonetics.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching preschool children on a daily basis and organizing extra curricular activities.
  • Keep good records of children’s emotional and cognitive development.
  • Prepare for and conduct assessment of the children’s progress.
  • Prepare good lesson plans and notes.
  • Supervising caregivers attached to their class to ensure children are well cared for.

Requisite Skills

  • Innovative and able to “think out of the box”
  • Should be outgoing and multi – talented.
  • Has genuine flair for children and social work
  • Must have good diplomatic and people management skills.

Receptionist

Candidates must hold a minimum of 1st degree, HND/OND or S.S.C.E. and have minimum of two years experience as a receptionist in a leading organization. A warm and cheerful persona is necessary for this position. This job requires a live – in staff due to the nature of the job – long hours and weekend work is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving partners and visitors to the orphanage.
  • Keeping good records of all visits and recording visitor’s data.
  • Recording all donations
  • Preparing and sending of relevant letters
